Monaco Wedding Photographer | Monte-Carlo
Monaco is one of those places where everything seems ready for a spectacular wedding. Set between sea and mountains, the Principality has become one of the Riviera's most iconic locations, where luxury and elegance are a natural part of the décor. Cliffs plunge into the Mediterranean, yachts fill the harbor, palaces dominate the Riviera and every terrace seems to offer a spectacular view of the sea. For a wedding, it's hard to imagine a more iconic setting on the French Riviera.
There's always something cinematic about a wedding in Monaco. The arrival of guests in front of the yacht-filled harbor, the Belle Époque facades of Monte-Carlo, the gardens suspended above the sea or the breathtaking views from the Rock create a naturally grandiose setting. Without artifice, the Principality already offers everything needed to transform a wedding day into a true experience.
It's also a place where every moment of the day can become a powerful scene. The preparation in a hotel suite overlooking the sea, the ceremony in a historic city church, the cocktail party on a panoramic Monaco terrace. Everything takes place in an elegant, vibrant atmosphere, with that unique Riviera energy. In this spectacular setting, my role is to tell the story of your day with accuracy and discretion. As a wedding photographer in Monaco, my approach is simple: observe, anticipate and capture the moment.

My approach to wedding photography in Monaco
Every wedding has its own rhythm, its own energy and its own unique atmosphere. My approach is first and foremost to observe and tell the story of the day as it really unfolds. The aim is not just to produce beautiful images, but to capture the emotions, the looks and the moments that make your wedding in Monaco truly unique.
Throughout the day, I work discreetly to let events unfold naturally. The most precious moments of a wedding often occur spontaneously: a smile exchanged during the ceremony, a burst of laughter during the cocktail party or a moment of complicity between the bride and groom. These authentic moments are the very essence of wedding photography.
The Principality of Monaco also offers an exceptional backdrop for photography. From terraces overlooking the Mediterranean to elegant gardens and panoramic views of Monte Carlo harbor, each location has its own particular light and atmosphere. I like to use these elements to create natural, elegant images that highlight the Riviera's unique environment.
The couple's photos are often a particularly important part of the day. It's a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding for a few moments and enjoy a calmer moment. In the elegant streets of Monaco, facing the sea or on a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, these moments create images that are both spontaneous and timeless.
My aim is always to tell the complete story of your wedding. From the preparations to the atmosphere of the evening, every moment contributes to building the story of this exceptional day. The emotions, the interactions between guests and the atmosphere of the venue are all elements that bring the story to life.
At the end of the day, the photographs should allow you to relive every moment with the same intensity as on the wedding day. The images then become a true record of your story, capturing not only the aesthetics of the day but also all the emotions that accompanied it.
Award-winning wedding photographer in Monaco
Photographing a wedding in Monaco requires a special sensitivity. Between the elegance of Monte-Carlo, the light of the Mediterranean and the unique atmosphere of the Principality, every detail can become a powerful image when captured at the right moment. Over the years, Laurie has developed an artistic approach that blends observation, discretion and an eye for detail.
Her work has been noted by several European magazines for the creativity of her images and her ability to tell a story through photography. She always seeks that subtle balance between composition, light and emotion to create elegant, natural images.
Monaco's iconic architecture, terraces overlooking the sea and sunsets over the Riviera provide an exceptional backdrop for wedding photography. Each wedding becomes a unique story to be told in images, with an approach that is both artistic and authentic, and his aim is always the same: to create timeless photographs that allow us to relive the atmosphere of the day, the shared emotions and the special energy of a wedding celebrated on the French Riviera.

How a wedding reportage in Monaco works
A wedding photo report is not just about the ceremony or the couple's photos. The aim is to tell the whole story of your day in Monaco, from the first moments of the preparations to the atmosphere of the evening. Each moment has its own energy and contributes to creating a complete story of your wedding on the Côte d'Azur.
The day begins with the bride and groom's preparations. These moments are particularly rich in emotion: the excitement before the ceremony, the final exchanges with loved ones, the details of the outfit or the atmosphere in the hotel room or villa where you're getting ready.
The ceremony
The ceremony is one of the highlights of the day. Whether it takes place in the small, intimate church of Sainte-Dévote, nestled in the heart of the principality, or in the majestic Monaco Cathedral on the Rock, where the Princes of Monaco were married, every look, every smile and every emotion deserves to be captured with discretion. Some couples also choose to have their ceremony in the gardens of a hotel or on a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. Ceremonies in Monaco often feature spectacular settings, from historic architecture to incredible sea views.
Couple photos
Couples' photos are often the only time during the day when the bride and groom can really take a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle. In Monaco, the possibilities are incredible for creating strong, elegant images. We can enjoy the Saint-Martin Gardens on the Rock, with their palm-lined walkways and spectacular views over the Mediterranean, head down to the little lanes around the Palais Princier for a more intimate atmosphere, or take in the iconic vistas around Monte-Carlo harbor, with the yachts and Belle Époque facades in the background.
What I love about these moments is creating a little interlude for the two of you. I give you a little guidance with the poses to achieve elegant images, but above all I leave room for the natural gestures, glances and laughter that make the photos really come alive. In Monaco, even a few minutes are enough to create spectacular images.
Group and family photos
Group photos and family portraits are also important wedding souvenirs. They allow us to keep a record of the loved ones present to share this unique day. The aim is to capture these images quickly, so that guests can enjoy the rest of the celebration to the full.
Cocktails and wedding atmosphere
Cocktails are often one of the liveliest moments of a wedding. Guests get together, chat, laugh and enjoy the atmosphere of the day. It's a perfect moment to capture natural, spontaneous images that tell the real story of the wedding.
The evening and the party
When the evening begins, the atmosphere changes completely. Between the speeches, the first dance and the festive moments on the dance floor, the report takes on a different dimension. These images complete the story of the day and show all the energy and joy of the wedding celebrated in Monaco.

Tips for organizing a wedding in Monaco
Organizing a wedding in Monaco is a unique experience on the Côte d'Azur. Between the Mediterranean Sea, the spectacular terraces of Monte Carlo and the Principality's emblematic venues, every detail contributes to creating a particularly elegant atmosphere. Preparing certain aspects of your day in advance will enable you to take full advantage of Monaco's exceptional setting.
Choosing the right period
Thanks to its Mediterranean climate, Monaco is ideal for weddings most of the year. May, June, September and October are often the most pleasant months: the light is soft, temperatures remain comfortable and the atmosphere is calmer than during the height of summer.
Summer remains a very popular time for weddings on the Riviera. In this case, it's often best to hold the ceremony in the late afternoon or early evening, to take advantage of the softer light and more pleasant atmosphere for the guests.
Getting the timing right for photos
Light plays an essential role in wedding photography. On the Côte d'Azur, the late afternoon is often the most magical moment of the day. The sun gradually descends towards the sea, creating particularly warm colors.
In Monaco, this time of day often makes for spectacular couple shots with the Mediterranean, the harbor or the terraces of Monte Carlo in the background. It's the ideal light for creating elegant, timeless images.
Enjoy the Principality's unique setting
One of the great advantages of a wedding in Monaco is the diversity of settings available within minutes of each other. From sea views and Mediterranean gardens to terraces overlooking the harbor and Monte Carlo's iconic architecture, each venue offers a different ambience.
This variety makes for a visually rich wedding report. In just a few moments, it's possible to move from a spectacular maritime setting to a more elegant, intimate atmosphere, giving the report a truly cinematic dimension.

The best locations for couple photos in Monaco
Monaco offers many spectacular backdrops for couple's wedding photos. From Mediterranean gardens and sea views to historic streets overlooking the port, the Principality offers a wide variety of atmospheres just minutes from each other.
These locations allow you to create very different images while enjoying the unique scenery of Monaco and the Côte d'Azur.
Les Jardins Saint-Martin
The Jardins Saint-Martin are one of Monaco's most romantic spots. Located on the cliffs above the sea, these gardens offer spectacular views of the Mediterranean and Monaco harbor. Walkways lined with Mediterranean vegetation and panoramic sea views create a particularly elegant setting for couples' photos.
Rue des Remparts
Rue des Remparts, in the Monaco-Ville district, offers a more intimate, historic atmosphere. The colorful facades, stone staircases and narrow lanes lend great charm to the photos. This more authentic setting allows you to create images that are natural and full of character.
The Rock of Monaco
The Rocher district is one of the Principality's most emblematic locations. The narrow cobbled streets, views of the harbor and historic architecture offer plenty of opportunities for elegant photos in a typically Mediterranean setting.
Port Hercule
Port Hercule offers a completely different atmosphere, with Monaco's iconic yachts and Monte Carlo's elegant buildings in the background. This location is perfect for modern, spectacular images that reflect the elegance and energy of the Principality.
Monte-Carlo's terraces
Some of Monte Carlo's terraces offer exceptional panoramic views of the sea and the city. With the light of the Mediterranean and the Principality's emblematic buildings, these locations make for particularly refined photos, especially at the end of the day when the light becomes softer.

Frequently asked questions for a wedding in Monaco
How much time should I allow for couple photos at a wedding?
I always recommend setting aside at least 30 minutes for couple photos. The first few minutes are often used to relax and forget the hustle and bustle of the day. After the ceremony, there's a lot of emotion involved, and this is often the time to take a breather and reconnect.
It's also a more intimate moment in the day, when you're just the two of you. I stay discreet to capture these moments naturally, without breaking that bubble. In my experience, setting aside between 30 and 45 minutes really allows you to feel at ease and to create more spontaneous and elegant images, especially in the magnificent settings found in Monaco.
When is the best month to get married in Monaco?
Monaco enjoys a particularly pleasant climate for organizing a wedding most of the year. The most popular period is from May to October, when the days are long and the Mediterranean light is particularly beautiful.
The months of May, June, September and October often offer an excellent balance of pleasant weather, soft light and more moderate tourist numbers. Summer remains a popular time for weddings on the French Riviera, of course, but temperatures can be higher during the day in the Principality.
Can you organize a destination wedding in Monaco?
Monaco is one of those places that is instantly recognizable the world over. A small principality set between sea and mountains, where everything seems more spectacular. Cliffs plunge into the Mediterranean, yachts fill the harbor, and every street offers an incredible view of the Riviera. For many couples who come here to get married, there's also this almost mythical dimension. Monaco evokes the glamour of the French Riviera, grand hotels, gardens hanging over the sea and an atmosphere both elegant and timeless.
This also explains why the Principality attracts so many international weddings. Couples come from the USA, the UK, Australia and the Middle East to celebrate their wedding in this unique setting. And despite its prestigious image, Monaco is still very easy to get to. Nice international airport is only 30 minutes away, allowing guests to reach the Riviera from almost any major city in the world.
What time of day should you take your couple photos in Monaco?
The most popular moment is often late afternoon or sunset. This is when the light becomes softer and warmer, creating particularly elegant images with the Mediterranean Sea, the terraces of Monte Carlo or the port of Monaco in the background.
This typical Riviera light adds a very special atmosphere to photographs, creating natural, timeless images.
Is it possible to hold an intimate wedding in Monaco?
Monaco lends itself perfectly to intimate weddings. Many couples today choose to celebrate their union surrounded only by their nearest and dearest, in a more confidential and elegant setting.
From seafront terraces to Monte Carlo's iconic hotels and private Riviera villas, there are plenty of venues where you can hold a small, elegant ceremony. This type of wedding often allows for a more personal experience, with guests enjoying every moment to the full.
How many photos do we receive after a wedding reportage?
It's a question I'm often asked: «How many photos will we receive after our wedding? The answer depends on a number of factors, including the length of the shoot, how the day unfolds and the number of guests present.
As an indication, for a full-day wedding coverage in Monaco, I guarantee a minimum of 600 carefully selected and retouched photos. I never set a limit on the number of images delivered. My aim is simply to tell the whole story of your day and capture all the important moments.
How far in advance should I book my wedding photographer?
The most popular wedding dates, especially Saturdays during the high season on the French Riviera, are often booked very early. To be sure of my availability, I generally recommend contacting me at least a year in advance for a Saturday wedding.
For weekday weddings, the schedule is generally a little more flexible. In this case, contacting me about six months in advance usually allows you to secure the date and organize the photo shoot with peace of mind.
How long does a wedding photo shoot in Monaco last?
The length of a report always depends on how the day unfolds and is organized. In our experience, around 8 hours' coverage is enough to tell the story of a wedding: the ceremony(s), the couple's photos, the group and family photos, and the cocktail reception.
To cover the entire wedding, right up to the evening's ambience, you should generally plan for around 12 hours. This also allows us to immortalize the meal, the cake, the first dance and the start of the party. These more festive moments often bring another energy to the report and complete the story of the day.
Do you also photograph weddings around Monaco?
I regularly shoot weddings in the towns around the Principality. The region offers many magnificent venues for an elegant celebration, including Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Cap-d'Ail, Beausoleil and many of the Riviera's estates and villas.
Each of these venues offers a different atmosphere: from spectacular sea views to hilltop villages and Mediterranean villas, they offer the perfect setting for a wide variety of weddings, all within easy reach of Monaco.
Do you photograph weddings in other French Riviera cities?
I regularly photograph weddings all over the French Riviera. Every town has a different atmosphere, and some couples choose their wedding venue based on the setting that best suits their story.
For example, Menton often seduces couples with its pastel colors and Italian charm. Nice offers an elegant atmosphere between the Promenade des Anglais and the hills overlooking the Mediterranean.
Many couples also fall under the spell of’Èze, famous for its hilltop village and spectacular panoramas. And last but not least, Cannes remains an emblematic destination for refined weddings between palaces, private beaches and prestigious villas.
Whatever venue you choose on the French Riviera, every wedding has its own atmosphere, and I always adapt to the energy and decor of the venue to create natural, elegant images.
